Swift Impulse - Outside broadcast Saturday night!

Yes you heard/read correctly, Swift Impulse will be broadcasting LIVE on Saturday July 3rd for a special occasion! It's one of our listener's birthday. So we're helping celebrate her 16th by DJing at her party and broadcasting our mix online at the same time.
Here's a run down of what's happening:
We'll be broadcasting live from the party online from 8PM onwards. You will need to visit www.swiftimpulse.com.au during this time to connect to our live streams. The streams on 88.3FM's website won't work, they'll be broadcasting the Saturday night shows that currently air between 8PM-12AM, so make sure you come to our site!
Our main set will be between 10PM-12AM.
On Saturday night at midnight, we'll be taking over the broadcast on 88.3 Southern FM (after all, we still run Late Night Swift!) and we'll continue this until the party finishes, and then we'll cross back to the studios once the party finishes.
Our set from 10PM-12AM will also be playing on our show on Sunday night so tune in if you missed out on the party!

Fabrique was off its tits! Mikey Kay's RNB set from 11PM-12AM had the whole dance floor shaking and moving to the beats of Mikey's unique djing style.
Many thanks to those who came and saw Mikey Kay live!
To those who didn't, the podcast will be online shortly. Unfortunately due to some technical issues we had during the OB, the quality of the podcast will be less than our usual podcasts, but still good enough to enjoy Mikey Kay's mixing style.
Many thanks to DJ Steph Kyda who ripped up an amazing set from 1AM-4AM with John Pappas and Fabian Grey! We hope to hook up both rooms next time we do an outside broadcast.

FINAL SATURDAY NIGHT SHOW - TONIGHT!
We will be webcasting online from 8PM-10PM (available by visiting this site during that time) - so the 'live streams' links will become active earlier than usual.
There's nothing really planned for the webcast other than pumping RNB tunes, so make sure you don't miss our final Saturday night show, which will start at 10PM.

New Itunes capable streams!

While our live streams have always been compatible with Itunes, up until now our podcasts could only be played on Windows Media Player, Real Player or Winamp. We have now implemented a new streaming server to stream Itunes podcasts, however they can't fast forward/rewind while being played (for now). We hope to add this feature to the Itunes podcasts when we find a server capable of doing this.
Until then - use one of the other media players to play streams you can fast forward/rewind.

Swift Impulse - FINAL SATURDAY SHOW!!!
Swift Impulse will be broadcasting its final show on a Saturday night on May 15th, 2010.
We are moving to Sunday nights 10pm-12am, and will begin our first Sunday night show on May 16th, 2010. So it's bound to be a massive weekend!
We will be going through our past, with past segment hosts, past segments, talking about past shows and how we've changed from 5 years ago's standards to today's standards!
VIPs and long time listeners will also be at the studio with us celebrating this event so make sure you check out Swift Impulse on its final Saturday night ever (or at least for now), and if you can't listen live then check out our podcasts online!

Late Night Swift

You'll be pleased to know that Late Night Swift will remain on the air each week!
Saturday nights / Sunday mornings, 12am-4:30am will continue playing non stop House/Electro mixes after the Saturday night team finish their show each week.
Our Saturday night replacements will most likely be playing rock music so it'll be a nice change to the station, but make sure you check them out if you're listening on a Saturday night. |

Just created an event on Facebook. Swift Impulse has made it on air for 5 years!
And now we’re moving time slots.
Saturday 15th of May will be our final Saturday night broadcast… for now anyway. It’s also our birthday show so we thought we’d go out with a bang.
We will be reflecting on the show from the start (2005) until now, the various hosts, segments etc we’ve had over the years. Of course RNB will be pumping from 10PM onwards but that’s just a given!
We are moving to Sunday nights 10PM-12AM. The future of Late Night Swift is not yet known but we’ll update our website when we know if our 12am-6am show will play on Sunday nights after Swift Impulse!
The style of the show will change so tune in on Sunday nights to see the difference!
